Dealer Terms*
Dealers are shipped licenses that are valid for 30 days. Users must register their license with Diffraction Ltd. to receive their permanent license.
We recommend that dealers not accept returns on opened software. We do not permit any refunds or returns once the permanent license has been issued.
The boxed software that is distributed to dealers contains:
Box, Manual, and CDROM
We sell a download-only version of our software (no box, no manual, and no CDROM). The downloadable versions of the software is not available to third-party resellers.
Other Terms
Shipping and Handling charges are extra.
Any additional taxes (for example GST, PST, HST, VAT) and/or duties, are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Since we are a Canadian company, we reserve the rights to offer domestic prices in Canadian Dollars.
There is no minimum quantity required to order.
Standard shipping to the USA is via 2-business day FedEx economy. Express courier shipping is available upon request, and costs more.
Outside of North America, standard shipping by FedEx international service.
You can request that courier shipping costs to be charged to your courier account. In that case we charge a nominal handling fee.
Upgrades
Upgrades are only available directly from Diffraction Ltd.

Payment Options
We offer the following payment options:
1.) By international money order, or certified check payable to Diffraction Ltd., and drawn on a Canadian or US bank.
2.) By Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard only) - a credit card surcharge of 3.5% applies.
If paying by credit card, for security reasons, we recommend you fax us credit information at (613)225-9688.
3.) By electronic funds transfer (EFT) - a handling fee of $25.00US to $65.00US will be applied to each transaction depending upon dealer's location.
4.) On approved credit, terms of net 30 days is available.
Any additional taxes and/or duties are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Returns
We do not accept returns on open software. Absolutely no returns or refunds are permitted once the permanent license has been issued.
Returns have to be pre-arranged. There is a 20% restocking fee on returns. Shipping charges are not refundable.
We HIGHLY recommend that dealers do NOT accept the return of open software.
Upgrade Policy
Please advise your customers of our upgrade policy. Customers should read the license agreement enclosed with the software, and consult our website.
The customer must register with Diffraction Ltd. to receive their permanent license, and to be eligible for technical support and any future upgrades. Again, no returns or refunds are permitted once the customer has received their permanent license.
The upgrade policy is free upgrades and technical support for 12 months from the original date of purchase for the original owner only.
License transfer on "used" copies are only allowed if the terms of the license agreement are met, and upon payment of a re-registration fee equivalent to the cost of a one-year subscription fee.
Upgrades to MaxIm DL, MaxIm DL/CCD and MaxDLSR will be available for download from our website. License holders with current expiry dates will be able to obtain the downloads for free.
One-year and two-year subscriptions, will be offered to all registered MaxIm DL, MaxIm DL/CCD and MaxDSLR owners with expired version 4 licenses. For version 4 minor upgrades only, a one-time only upgrade option is also available for those with expired version 4 licenses.
