This is a problem that will most likely be addressed in a later version, however there is a work-around that will get the plug-ins working until a more permanent solution is released.
Here is how to get your plug-ins to work with Vista:
1.) Download and unzip the desired plug-in to an easy to locate folder
2.) Run a "Command Prompt" window as "Administrator" by right-clicking on the Command Prompt icon and selecting "Run as Administrator"
3.) In the "Command Prompt" window, change directories to the location that you unzipped the plug-in .dll
4.) Type: regsvr32 "ReferenceStar.dll" , changing "ReferenceStar.dll" to the name of the .dll you are attempting to load
5.) Click "OK" to confirm that "ReferenceStar.dll" has been registered
You should now be able to load the plug-in via the Plug-in menu in MaxIm as usual. You will need to do this for any plug-ins you are having problems with, and once they are registered, it should not be necessary to load them again, even after a reboot.
