Band Reduction

Some CMOS cameras are prone to horizontal banding.  This can be removed by comparing adjacent rows and correcting the small differences.

Some cameras have the option of providing overscan pixels to the left and/or right of the image.  Often this requires making an adjustment to the camera settings.  These pixels are not exposed to light and can be used for the banding correction. In this case, you can select Use 0 prescan (left) pixels and 0 overscan (right) pixels.  When selected, the number of either left or right pixels must be non-zero.

If no overscan pixels are available, then click Use entire row.
